Bape founder and living legend, Nigo, brought on A$AP Rocky for his new track, Arya. This is the lead single coming from Nigo's upcoming project, I Know NIGO. Following up the AWGE released trailer, the song does anything but disappoint.
The song starts off with elegant piano keys that stay throughout the duration of the track, giving it a classical sounding edge. A$AP Rocky jumps in with the deep bass drums, starting off his wild performance on the song. Rocky is in full form on Arya. His performance features flawless bars one after the other, delivered with incredible confidence that exudes off the track. The catchy hook references the hit show Game of Thrones, where the character Arya Stark adds names of her enemies to a list. Arya's video features cameos from Pharrell and Kid Cudi with gorgeous visuals and settings, as should be expected with anything A$AP Rocky does.
Arya is one more sad reminder that it has been far too long since Rocky has dropped an album. Hopefully his upcoming project, All Smiles, will be coming sooner rather than later. His rapping sounds tighter and polished as ever, adding to the anticipation of the album.
If this is the first track off I Know NIGO, who knows what will be in store for the rest of the tape. There is said to be features from Tyler, the Creator, Pharrell, and Kid Cudi just to name a few. Whatever happens, I have a feeling it's going to be special.
