The British artist has released the first single for his third studio album, and it was quick to break the Spotify record for most streams in a single day. With As It Was, Harry takes a retrospective angle, speaking about how his life has changed while not really wanting to think on it. The instrumental feels anything but melancholy with persistent drums and and upbeat keys. It has a beautiful balance between the two feelings, not really taking a stance on if what Harry is feeling is sad or happy. The track has the essence of vulnerability and fragility as you can sense the emotions of Harry clearly throughout. Harry always had the ability to say a lot with a little, and he does that here once again.
