Change the Show - Miles Kane [ALBUM]

Miles Kane comes through with his electrifying new album 'Change the Show' as his 4th solo release. Filled with fast, upbeat as well as smooth, slow paced moments, Miles Kane reminds us of how much he has to offer with his songwriting.

The jazzy feel of the project absolutely transports you back in time into a smoke filled club with a good drink in your hand surrounded by friends. The energy from start to finish is so infectious. Miles Kane is one of those artists that you can just feel how much passion they have for what they do. From the moment you hear those first strums of guitar in the intro of 'Don't Let It Get You Down,' you're just locked into the album.

Each song is a look into a new story and insight into his current feelings. Dealing with varied relationships with his past, present self, and romantic interests, Kane never fails to give us an entertaining tale with sharp, catchy lines in each song. His songwriting paints vivid pictures of driving old school Chevrolets and dancing with bullet proof vests. The hooks will be glued to your brain and the verses draw you in more, all graced with fantastic instrumental interludes.

The songs are topped off with rich, soul-filled production that make you want to dance or lean back and kick your feet up. They're filled with rich horns and sharp guitar solos along with many different types of keys. One thing that struck we was the drums. The drumming on this project was just incredible. The fast-paced fills and patterns keep your blood pumping from start to finish. Even when the pace slows down, the drumming remains dynamic in songs like 'Coming of Age.'

'Change the Show' is one more notch in Miles Kane's belt. From fast-paced jazzy dance tracks to the retrospective cuts, there's so much to enjoy here. I am praying he decides to tour in the states sometime soon. I couldn't bear not being able to scream out the chorus to the title track at a concert. Be sure to check out this new record, and I can promise the last thing you'd ever want to do is change the show.
