The Gods We Can Touch - AURORA [ALBUM]

Norwegian artist, AURORA, has released her new album "The Gods We Can Touch." As her 3rd full-length LP, the album builds on her previous work and explores new avenues. It's a versatile project, seamlessly blending elements across multiple genres, from whimsical electro-pop to anthemic bangers.

Throughout the project AURORA uses her vocal abilities to perfection. She knows exactly when to target each part of her range. I love hearing her soft almost whisper tones as well as her stretching her vocals to project her voice. The progression of her voice in certain tracks make the highs so much more satisfying as the power of her voice finally hits you in the unforgettable hooks.

The variations of each track keeps your interest throughout. Even though she explores multiple styles, the whole project feels perfectly compiled as the songs are right at home alongside one another. The styles of each song are woven into one another with precision. AURORA will have you dancing with the punching drums and catchy hooks of tracks like "Cure for Me" and "The Innocent." Other songs like "You Keep Me Crawling" and "A Dangerous Thing" explore topics of sadness in relationships. She mirrors tracks like this with the beautiful "Exist for Love." It's a simple guitar based track filled with gorgeous strings that heighten every feeling the song projects.

"The Gods We Can Touch" is going to be an amazing album to hear live. The thunderous drums on "Giving In To Love" and powerful chorus will make for magical moments for those seeing her in concert. You can almost envision fans singing every word to the infectious chorus. This is just one of those projects that will translate well live as her raw talent and accompanying production will make for quite the show. It gives you everything you'd want out of a setlist from electric highs of "Blood In The Wine" to the euphoric moments of "A Little Place Called The Moon" that make you really feel as if you're floating up to space.

There's no doubt this album will go far as AURORA has seen a mountain of success from her previous work. "The Gods We Can Touch" is another indication of her beautiful songwriting and ability to really do whatever she puts her mind to. I am excited to see where she goes from here as she can dominant whatever style and genre she touches.
