Denzel Curry follows up Walkin with new single Zatoichi featuring slowthai. The release serves as the second single from his upcoming album, Melt My Eyez, See Your Future.
Just like his previous single, Denzel Curry sounds re-energized. He approaches themes of releasing his purpose and journey with a new outlook while recognizing the flaws he may hold. The maturity in his writing is readily apparent with his growth as a person shining past all the struggles he has had to face.
The track's instrumental gives us a new style that Denzel has not previously explored. The chorus featuring slowthai breaks down into a drum and bass instrumental. It serves as a nice contrast from the hip-hop beat as a different side of a Denzel Curry song that we haven’t seen before. Slowthai’s fiery delivery weaves in perfectly with the high intensity chorus. Everytime Denzel and slowthai come together they always make great music, so I hope this continues since they have respectively grown so much as artists.
Melt My Eyez, See Your Future will serve as Denzel Curry’s fifth studio album and is set to release in the near future. In the meantime Curry is set to take off on his US tour starting on April 1st.
